The ASEAN Expo Saudi Arabia 2026 opens its doors at the Jeddah Expo Centre from 6 to 8 August, with pavilions from fourteen countries including an Indonesian pavilion. It is the closest event, in distance and in time, for a Saudi businessperson looking for an Indonesian supplier without travelling.
Why this exhibition in particular
Most chances to meet Indonesian suppliers require a trip to Jakarta: a visa, a flight, accommodation and a week of your time. This exhibition reverses the equation. Here the supplier is the one who covered the distance.
And the cost of attending is negligible against what it buys: one day in Jeddah for dozens of direct meetings. Even if no deal is struck, you leave with a clear map of who supplies what and on what terms.
There is more to it than Indonesia: pavilions from Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines are present too, so you can compare several Asian sources in one hall, a comparison that is hard to make any other way.
An Indonesian small-enterprise showcase runs alongside it
The Indonesian government body responsible for small and medium enterprises is running an event alongside the exhibition. That means mid-sized manufacturers attending, not only large export agents.
The distinction matters in practice: a mid-sized factory accepts smaller quantities and more flexible terms and will respond to customisation, while a large exporter asks for a minimum that may not suit someone starting out.
How to prepare in the few days left
Pick three categories, no more. Anyone who enters a fourteen-country exhibition without a target leaves with a bag of brochures and zero follow-up. Choose what you actually buy and go looking for it.
Print a one-page profile in English. One page: who you are, what you buy, your approximate volumes, and the certificates you require. It saves repeating yourself and stays with the exhibitor after you walk away.
Record what you see as you see it. Photograph each exhibitor’s card and add a line about what you discussed. After thirty meetings the faces and names blur and the details are lost.
Set aside time for follow-up. The value is created in the two weeks afterwards, not in the hall. Anyone who does not write during them loses the whole cost of attending.
