The forty-first edition of Trade Expo Indonesia runs from 14 to 18 October 2026 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in Tangerang near Jakarta, under the theme “The Ultimate Hub for Global Sourcing”.
What makes it different from sector exhibitions
Most exhibitions are specialised: one for food, another for furniture, a third for textiles. This one spans products and services, gathering in a single place what would take weeks to see scattered.
And it is export-oriented by design, meaning the exhibitors are companies ready to sell outside Indonesia: their paperwork is in order, they understand shipping and certification requirements, and they do not treat a foreign buyer as an exception.
The expo draws buyers from more than 140 countries, a figure with a practical meaning: the exhibitor you meet is used to international negotiation, and competition for a good supplier is real, so do not be slow to decide.
Business matchmaking is the real advantage
The expo runs a programme of official one-to-one business matchmaking between foreign buyers and Indonesian exporters, organised by Indonesian trade attachés and trade promotion centres.
The difference between wandering the aisles and a pre-arranged schedule is the difference between a lost day and a productive one. Register early and state your interests precisely and you receive a schedule of meetings with screened companies; arrive without registering and you search alone among thousands of stands.
Early registration is not a formality: the best exhibitors fill their schedules in the first days.
The sectors most relevant to the Saudi market
Processed foods and beverages, wooden furniture, textiles and clothing, rubber and rubber products, paper, cosmetics and personal care, and housewares and ceramics.
Many of these sectors are globally competitive, and their absence from the Saudi market is not down to a weak product but to the absence of channels for introduction and distribution.
A two-day plan is enough
A five-day expo does not mean five days of attendance. Two planned days are enough: the first for a fast sweep in which you draw up a shortlist, the second for serious meetings with those you chose.
And book your stay near the centre rather than in central Jakarta: the distance between them eats two hours a day in traffic.
And check before you book
Confirm the dates and registration conditions directly from the expo’s official site before buying a ticket or booking a hotel.
The Saudi-Indonesian Business Council tracks registration deadlines and matchmaking programmes, and arranges group participation for its members. Register your interest early.
